It was a wonderful day Tuesday for me and my family as I was sworn in as the newest Councilmember representing the 15th District including San Pedro.

As you drive through San Pedro and surrounding neighborhoods you may have encountered skateboarders racing down our street and blocking traffic. There has been an increase of this issue which has angered drivers and worried residents. I am greatly saddened to learn of the death of San Pedro resident Steve Saggiani, killed tragically Thursday evening, while performing his duties as a longshoreman at the Port of Long Beach.
