It's that time of year again... as the high school basketball scene is already underway. Plenty of potential to be shown out of the San Pedro, Port Of Los Angeles and Mary Star Of The Sea High boys and girls programs as they are in full swing for the 2018-2019 season.

The first San Pedro Prep Sports signing day ceremony for the 2018-2019 school year almost comes as no surprise.

It is also the first basketball-oriented on-campus signing day in five years, and also just the third on-campus signing day ceremony on the Taper Avenue campus of Mary Star Of The Sea High School.

Although Mary Star Of The Sea High School is still pursuing its first-ever CIF-Southern Section sports team championship in its 64-year history, they were given the next best thing by the section last week.
